This is the sequel to Risk Taker. It is a story about Sarah, a Blackhawk helicopter pilot and Ethan, a Navy Seal. They fell in love in Risk Taker and this is the continuation of their story. I have to tell you that I read this book in 24 hrs. and that includes taking time out to cook, eat, go to the bathroom, run errands, take my dog out a few times and sleep! I did not want to put it down! Ms. McKenna pulls you in from page one and does not let you go until THE END! She is an amazingly talented storyteller who immediately whisks you into her world of war and what the people in that war go through every day. You grow to love or hate each character. You root for the good guys and want to take out the bad guys = and in the midst of all this is a love story that tugs at your heartstrings because you know these two will do anything to get together and stay that way forever. I have always been a fan of this author and, I have to tell you, I always will be. She just keeps getting better and better!!!!!

I love this author. She can wring emotions out of me only using words. Simply amazing how that happens. I've gotten a little tired of the run of the mill romance & truly enjoy this author. There's suspense (heart pounding in some cases) romance and love. Very good read.
This was a great book. The story was very good and interesting. It was a romance and a story about Navy Seals and Helo Pilot and a very scary incident. It was a tense a loving story.

I would recommend it to all adults. Not a kid book.

Sarah Benson is one heck of a medevac pilot. She's met and fallen in love with Ethan Quinn, and with his love and understanding, she's risen above personal issues and is on a better path emotionally than she was. Their love for each other builds up the other. So little taking and so much giving. Sarah really shows her core strength when she goes on the run from the enemy after her chopper crashes. Ethan's mission, with the help of his Seal team mates, is to find her, get her back safely. The story unfolds, danger ensues, love conquers.
This is a continuation of the saga of Ethan Quinn and Sarah Benson from the 'Risk Taker' and I think it is one of the best stories she has ever written. If you enjoyed her previous novels about the Afghanistan conflict, I think you will love this one. Over the years, with her subsequent stories, she continues to bring us into the lives of the people she has previously written about who have become very familiar to those of us who read everything she writes. If you enjoy military stories and stories about the Navy Seals, you will love this one! I recommend it without hesitation.
This book continues the story of Sarah, an Army medevac pilot, and Ethan, a Navy SEAL, both stationed in Afghanistan. The story takes place three months after the end of Risk Taker and challenges the fragility of their relationship.

They readily admit they love each other deeply, but Sarah still has demons from her sexually abused as a child background. And, Ethan is still the tender, poem writing warrior who never waivers in his determination to break through Sarah's insecurities.

On a mission to deliver ammunition to another camp, Sarah's helicopter takes fire from the Taliban. As Ethan and his squad watch in horror, her helo goes down. Her Army refuses to believe she survived the crash and subsequent explosion. Only Ethan and his SEALS, who've adopted her into their squadron, believe she's alive and set out to find her.

Sarah has to rely on every survival tactic she has as she fears no one knows she survived. Her thoughts go to how distraught Ethan must be. Just as Ethan and his team get close, they watch her being kidnapped and taken away. Knowing what the Taliban do to woman prisoners, Sarah relies on faith that Ethan and the SEALS will find her in time.

The ending was excellent for this couple. The only thing I would've added into the story was something about her CO. He blatantly wanted her out, and when she left the base to head back to the states 4 months before Ethan, no mention of him at all. I thought there was enough build up on him in both books to warrant something.
