Fighting Solitude On The Ropes Book 3 edition by Aly Martinez Contemporary Romance eBooks

I didn't read the first two books yet. I like to jump into the ending or the middle sometimes just to see how stand alone a book really is. This book was a stand alone. I had no problem with missing parts or a "Who's that" question. I felt bad Clay had to go to prison at the end. I didn't see his badness in other books so I felt sympathy for a dad trying to set things right. I absolutely loved this story. The build up was solid and had both emotional and sexual tension, so when they finally hooked up I felt like I could breathe a sigh of relief. I kept talking to my book...YOU CAN GET THERE!!! It contained both sad and happy parts, felt like a roller coaster at times. Talented storytelling, not too many authors can pull off what this story contained and do it so that it fits and feels right. It's a story of love and friendship that endures during through the darkest of moments and the peaks of the lightest. I originally got this book on kindle unlimited. As soon as I turned the last page, I returned it then purchased a keeper copy because I know I will want to read it again. Wish I could have given it an extra star!

Fighting Solitude On The Ropes Book 3 edition by Aly Martinez Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews

WOW! What a perfect ending to this series. And while I love the entire series, I must say FIGHTING SOLITUDE is my favorite of all the books and Quarry is my favorite brother. I think I fell in love with Quarry, from the first book, being the youngest Page boy and boldest Page boy to claim Eliza as his...LOL! This kid was truly something else. But now this boy is a MAN and he's been able to persevere in spite of the obstacles thrown at him and the loss he's had to suffer (his parents, his hearing, his, his first love). I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into Quarry's story, because from the beginning, he's made an impression, with his humor and his little potty mouth. I loved that nothing changed. The humor and potty mouth still there, along with a cockiness and volatile temper. I loved the relationship between he and Liv and that she was the only one who could calm and center him. But he would, without a doubt, have no problem with loosing himself, in order to keep her safe. She was his strength, but also his weakness. And she would prove to have his back, literally and figuratively, from the moment they laid eyes on each other. Who could resist a love story like that!!!!! This one delivers.
I think my favorite moments, are when Quarry and Leo go back and forth and Quarry "respectfully" tells Leo how it really is... Lol! In the end, Leo's reminiscent story reveals a love and mutual respect between the men, that goes as far back as Quarry's childhood. (YOU REALLY HAVE TO READ IT! IT'S
AMAZING!)
Aly has given these characters to us in such a way that they manage to leave their marks on our hearts. We've seen every character in the On The Ropes Series evolve from their youths and have laughed with them, cried with them, and felt for them.
This series, ON THE ROPES, and each book in it, couldn't have had a better name, as boxing is a perfect metaphor for what the Page boys, as well as the loves of their lives have had to suffer through. Every obstacle, they'd encounter, they'd conquer, but not without a "fight".
ON THE ROPES is one of favorites.
I am so going to miss this series.
I didn't think I could love a Page brother more than I loved Till Page in Fighting Silence. Then I read Fighting Solitude and met Quarry Page. How is a girl supposed to choose? That's the good thing about book boyfriends, you NEVER have to have just one.

When we met Quarry in Fighting Silence he was a little boy. A precocious boy who was trying to be a grown up at 6 years old. Since his dad was a criminal and his mom was useless, Quarry's two older brothers raised him. What? You haven't met the older Page boys? I suggest you meet them by one clicking Fighting Silence and Fighting Shadows. The Page brothers are about as swoon worthy as they come. Anyway back to Quarry's story.

Quarry himself admits he was born into the world fighting. His parents were in his own words, losers and basically Till and Flint raised Quarry. When Till gets together with Eliza, she becomes Quarry's mother figure. But I'm getting lost again.

Fighting Silence begins with Quarry meeting Liv James. If she seems familiar she is. Her dad is Leo James, the head of security for Slate Andrews, boxer and owner of the gym the Page brothers fight for. All of the Page boys are fighters, literally and figuratively. They have worked themselves up from nothing to well respected members of the boxing community. But believe me, they struggled for everything they achieved.

The day Quarry meets Liv they become automatic friends. Liv is having trouble with two boys from the gym. She's adamant that even though she's a girl, she can defend herself. The two forge a bond and know everything about each other (well almost). Liv is always Quarry's calming influence.

Unfortunately, an incident takes place that severs Liv and Quarry's friendship and basically sends Quarry into a downward spiral. They miss each other terribly, but spend several years apart. During their time apart and probably even before that Liv realizes she's in love with Quarry.

By the time Liv comes back, Quarry's got a girlfriend and somehow the three become the very best of friends. Let's just say things don't always turn out the way we think they will and Quarry realizes Liv is someone he can't live without. I don't want to say too much and it's definitely not a cheating story.

I am in absolute love with Quarry Page. Dark hair, hazel eyes and a body that is lethal. Even though he's rough around the edges, Quarry is supremely swoon worthy. When Quarry decides to make something his there's no stopping him. Some of the things Quarry said and did for Liv made me melt into a puddle.

There's so much more to this story, but I don't want to give anything away. I will tell you if you like books about hot, boxing alpha males, this is a series you should definitely one click. All three Page brothers love their women like crazy and Aly Martinez has given them sassy women who give them a run for their money.

Aly Martinez creates a great story. Fighting Solitude is more than just a boxing story. It's more than just a love story. It's a story about family and friendship and fighting your demons together. It's about exactly what Aly Martinez says, overcoming the madness to finally realize you might just be meant for each other.

A super swoon worthy five lip smack review for Fighting Solitude and Quarry Page.

Every. Single. Day.
